Child Rights Information Network
The Child Rights Information Network is a global network that disseminates information about the Convention on the Rights of the Child and child rights amongst non-government organisations, United Nations agencies, inter-governmental organisation, educational institutions, and other child rights experts.

Committee on the Rights of the Child
The Committee on the Rights of the Child is the body that monitors how well States are meeting their obligations under the Convention on the Rights of the Child. There's lots of interesting information to be found here.

Defence for Children International 
The Australian section of Defence for Children International is the local link in a global chain of children’s rights agencies recognised by the United Nations. There are some excellent research documents to be found if you click on the button marked 'advocacy'.

Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission
The Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission is a national independent statutory government body, established in 1986 by an Act of the federal Parliament, the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission Act. Matters which can be investigated by the Commission include discrimination on the grounds of race, colour or ethnic origin, racial vilification, sex, sexual harassment, marital status, pregnancy, or disability.

Lawstuff is a fabulous website created by the National Children's and Youth Law Centre for young people providing legal information specific to each State and Territory, as well as information about young people's rights.

National Children's and Youth Law Centre
The National Children's and Youth Law Centre is Australia's only national community legal centre dedicated to addressing human right issues for children and young people through legal change.

Racism. No Way
This fabulous site provides teaching and discussion tools for exploring racism issues with young people.

Active8 Premier's Youth Challenge is a South Australian youth leadership and personal development program conducted by the Office for Youth in partnership with young people, schools and community service providers.

Activism 2000 Project
This American information clearinghouse project was founded in 1992 as a private, non-partisan organisation to encourage young people to speak up and pursue lasting solutions to problems they care deeply about.

Forum for Youth Investment
The Forum for Youth Investment is dedicated to increasing the quality and quantity of youth investment and youth involvement by promoting a "big picture" approach to planning, research, advocacy and policy development among the broad range of organisations that help constituents and communities invest in children, youth and families. To do this, the Forum is committed to building connections, increasing capacity and tackling persistent challenges across the allied youth fields.

FReeZA
FReeZA provides the opportunity for young Victorians to enjoy all-ages live band gigs and dance parties in drug- and alcohol-free, supervised, safe and secure venues. FReeZA providers establish and support FReeZA Committees made up of young people from the local community so that events are organised and run by young people for young people.

Minister's Youth Council
The South Australian Minister's Youth Council (MYC) is made up of 14 young people, aged between 12 and 25, who advise the Minister for Youth about issues that affect young people, such as pathways between education, training and employment, juvenile justice and alcohol use. MYC enables young South Australians to have an opportunity to participate in Government decision-making and the planning, development and implementation of relevant policies and programs.

National Youth Week
National Youth Week, a celebration for young people, is a state, territory and local government initiative. It is an event run by young people, for young people, and encourages ideas sharing, education, and most of all participation and celebration.

Office for Youth
Click on the link for Office for Youth Programs to get information on a wide variety of South Australian youth participation initiatives, including local government youth advisory committee grants and the Youth Register, as well as a downloadable copy of the Youth participation handbook, written especially for organisations wanting to involve young people in boards and committees.

One Stop Youth Participation Shop
An interesting youth participation website from Canada with a supermarket theme (you'll have to see it to know what we mean!). There are lots of good resources here; it's worth having a look.

Peer Support Foundation
The Peer Support Foundation provides schools, and their communities, with programs designed to develop physical, social and mental wellbeing, including leadership and citizenship initiatives. These programs are implemented across the whole school and support a safer and happier environment where effective teaching and learning can occur.
