NAIDOC Week 6 - 13 July

Tandanya will host activities and performances during NAIDOC Week, 6 – 13 July including:

  • Art & Craft Workshops jewellery making, weaving, decorating masks and rock art
  • Cultural Performances and Presentations with John Packham playing the yidaki (didgeridoo) and giving an insight into Aboriginal culture and history and Eddie Peters performing the traditional dance of the Torres Strait Islands
  • Against the Wall – Installation is an engrossing experience about facts. A ‘walk-in’ style journey combining film, stills, historic speeches and art
  • Kurruru Indigenous Youth Performing Arts Nunga Funny Night and a sneak peak at Karrikarrinya Theatre Collective’s new play while they rehearse Tanya Rigney’s Belonging
  • City of Adelaide Concert Band performs with John Packham on the yidaki (didgeridoo)
  • Selected film screenings from the Australian Film Commission’s Black Screen
