YACSA Best Practice Products

Ethical Youth Work: A DIY Guide for Developing Your Ethical Base
This resource is designed to be equally relevant to all workers with young people in South Australia - local government, state government and non-government youth workers and anyone who spends any of their time working with young people. The Law, Youth Work and Young People - A Handbook for Youth Workers in South Australia
This handbook provides a basic overview of the law in the areas most likely to arise for those who work with young people. It is divided into two sections; the first details the law and legal issues for those who work with young people and the second deals with the law as it pertains directly to young people themselves.

YACSA Network Handbook
Youth worker networks are an integral part of YACSA’s operations and are the primary way YACSA communicates with the youth sector, gaining an understanding of the issues and activities as well as gathering input into YACSA’s policy and program advocacy and sector support activities. This handbook provides information about the workings of networks.

ON-LINE PRODUCTS

Beyond the Revolving Door ( 196Kb)
Beyond the Revolving Door was produced by YACSA in association with the YACSA Health Policy and Advocacy Group in 2001, and is the result of consultation with service providers and consumers exploring the service needs of homeless young people with mental health issues. A hard copy of the report is also available from the YACSA Secretariat.

Cross Cultural Links - World Conference Against Racism ( 100Kb)
This report presents the outcomes of the Cross-Cultural Links' Youth Forum against Racism, held in Adelaide in April 2001, the purpose of which was to channel young people's perspectives on racism into the United Nations' World Conference against Racism held in Durban in September 2001, as well as to help demystify the UN for consultation participants. A hard copy of the report is also available from the YACSA Secretariat.
