Youth Participation is a key principle of YACSA, and a
central component to the way we work.
The Office for
Youth is visiting regional areas to hold consultations with young people on
the range of issues affecting them. Click

HOW TO
GET INVOLVED
Young members of YACSA have a variety of ways in which they
can be involved in YACSA these include:

Action
Young members can participate in
consultations and discussions in relation to key policy/ programs areas
initiated by the government or community that directly affect young people.

Participation
Young members can actively be involved in the development of key
activities of YACSA such as: sitting on
the Policy Council; being involved in the Membership Development Group;
developing and presenting Youth Participation Workshops as requested by the
sector; and a range of other aspects related to the infrastructure of YACSA.

Training
Young members will have the opportunity to
participate in various training workshops throughout 2008. It is worth checking
the
Courses Diary regularly until the new
Young Members section is up and running.
YOUTH PARTICIPATION
TRAINING FOR MEMBER ORGANISATIONS
YACSA is available to work with member organisations
and networks to conduct Youth Participation training. This is tailored to help
your network or organisation work effectively with young people.
