Employee Ombudsman
Provides an advisory service to
all employees employed under the South Australian Fair Work Act 1994 awards and enterprise agreements.
Safework SA
SafeWork SA is South Australia's new OHS agency whose primary role is to promote
and encourage safe, fair and productive working lives in South Australia by
working with employers, employees, unions and industry representatives.
Formerly called Workplace Services, SafeWork SA is responsible for administering
industrial relations laws and occupational health, safety and welfare laws in
our State (including some services previously provided by WorkCover).
South Australia Works
This site contains some basic information about the South Australian Department
of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology's new employment
programs package, SA Works.
Traineeship and Apprenticeship Services
Provides information and advice, support, mediation and a dispute resolution
service for trainees, apprentices (and their parents and guardians if they are
under 18 years of age), and employers, who are engaged in contracts of training.
U-Who, the Young People and Unions Network
U-Who is a movement of young people who are committed through education and
action to improving the rights, wages and working conditions of young workers by
assisting them to join and actively participate in unions.
Working Women's Centre SA Inc.
Provides resources,
information, support, training and advocacy for working women who are not
members of the union. It also provides resources, some training and consultancy
for organisations who wish to implement strategies to address workplace
bullying.
Workplace Ombudsman
The Workplace Ombudsman is an independent statutory agency responsible for
compliance with Federal workplace relations law. They incorporate and build on
the work and services previously undertaken by the Office of Workplace Services
(OWS). The role of the Workplace Ombudsman is to impartially assist and enforce
compliance with Commonwealth workplace laws and to assist workers and employers
to understand their rights and obligations under federal workplace law.
Young Workers Legal Service
The Young Workers Legal Service is an initiative of SA
Unions to assist young workers under the age of 30 with employment related
issues.
