YACSA is a membership based organisation - members are the organisation and the reason for its existence.
Who can be a Member
Individuals, including young people, organisations providing services to young people and Youth Worker Networks.
Membership Benefits
- Together the young people and youth workers that make up YACSA’s membership form a strong advocacy body for ensuring improved outcomes for young people.
- The YACSA Secretariat provide youth worker members with support for youth sector development, facilitating planning days/forums and supporting youth worker networks.
- Access to youth related information via the website; YACSAround (regular newsletter); eBulletin; and YACSA library (through Tabor College).
- YACSA provides a forum for its members to raise issues of concern to the Government and community.
- There are also opportunities to participate in YACSA's Policy Council and/or Management Committee and Policy and Action Groups.

How to become a member or renew your membership
Young person membership
If you are under 25 and over 12 membership is free. Download the young member application form (152Kb) and email it to yacsa@yacsa.com.au or print it out and fax it to (08) 8211 6653.
The cost of membership for individuals, organisations and affiliates (networks) varies so please download and fill in the appropriate membership form. These forms are fillable Adobe forms which can be emailed to yacsa@yacsa.com.au or printed out, filled in legibly and faxed to (08) 8226 3081. Contact YACSA directly on (08) 8211 6653 if you are unable to access the fillable form.
Individual membership
Being an individual member of YACSA means that you are over 25 and subscribe to YACSA’s mission and objectives as per the constitution. Download the membership form for individuals (184Kb)
Organisationall membership
An organisational member of YACSA is a non-government or local government organisation with a focus on youth affairs. State and federal government organisations and agencies can be organisational members but do not have voting rights as per YACSA’s Constitution and are known as Associate Members. Affiliate membership
Being an affiliate member of YACSA means that you are a youth worker/sector network; an organised group of individuals and/or representatives of agencies that work with or for young people and meet regularly for a shared purpose.Download the membership form for affiliates (236Kb)
The forms are tax invoices for GST purposes once payment is made, but there is a checkbox to mark if you require a separate invoice.
Costs for organisations and individuals vary. See the 2011-2012 Membership forms for more information. Financial membership of YACSA runs for the financial year ie from 1 July in one year until 30 June in the next.
