About the project
This is something we’ve been working on for a while and we’re pleased to release this survey as a first step in the broader project.
As the peak body that represents the young people and the youth sector in SA, over the last 40+ years we’ve seen changes to what is funded, the way funding is delivered and what funders expect in return, and have a good idea about how that has impacted service delivery, workers and young people.
The sector mapping project will provide us with rich data to quantify the youth sector, identify demand and gaps as well as training and development needs and barriers.
We’re currently undertaking consultations with sector workers to explore the themes raised in survey responses further. If you would like to be involved in our consultations, or would like to share any comments or feedback please contact Doug.
The survey
Do you work with young people in South Australia? We want to hear from you!
As the first stage of the project we created the below survey to gather information from across the youth sector and inform our advocacy.
This included who works in what roles and where, what training/qualifications they bring to their roles, the level of demand on services and how that impacts workers and their clients, and how well workers are travelling with regards to capacity and wellbeing.
We surveyed anyone in South Australia who works directly with young people in a non-government youth or community organisation or local government.
If you didn’t take the survey initially and would like to contribute to the project in this way we have left it open below, and it will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Alternatively, you can contribute by contacting Doug directly.
