what we do

YACSA works across policy, participation, sector development and strategic projects to strengthen outcomes for young people across South Australia.

  • We bring together insights from young people and the youth sector to inform policy, decision-making and systems improvement.

  • We design and support participation processes that enable young people to genuinely influence decisions, projects and systems.

    We work with young people across metropolitan, regional and remote South Australia, with a focus on participation that is inclusive, meaningful and connected to real outcomes.

  • We support a capable, connected and responsive youth sector through professional development, communities of practice, collaboration and shared learning.

    We also work to strengthen connections between the youth sector, government and broader community systems.

  • We partner with government, organisations and funders to deliver projects that respond to emerging issues, strengthen practice and improve system responses for young people.

    Our work includes co-design, facilitation, engagement, capability building and strategic collaboration across a range of initiatives and sectors.

  • As a peak body, YACSA plays an important role in connecting young people, organisations and decision-makers.

    We create spaces for collaboration, bring together diverse perspectives, and provide practical insight into the issues, trends and opportunities affecting young people and the youth sector.
