Preventive Health SA: Draft Mental Health and Wellbeing Bill – February 2026

Young people are at particular risk of experiencing decreased wellbeing, mental health challenges and mental ill health, with mental health disorders being one of the most common chronic health issues experienced by this cohort. Despite this, young people are less likely to engage with services than other age groups. This is due to a range of factors, including delays in accessing support, concerns about stigma, and the high average cost of services.
